Couldn't resist making this Alpreneur post a twofer with one of my favorite couples in the whole world!
Originally hailing from Maryland, Meg has fostered an amazing career in the tech space. Prior, she worked in sales and marketing for a large media company. Andy is a northeasterner who initially worked in the public sector then migrated into the private reinsurance space and now works for a global satellite firm. The couple went to Virginia Tech but did not meet until after college when they were both living in New York City! Following a few years of dating, they transitioned life and careers to our nation's capital, Washington D.C. When the panny hit, Meg & Andy decided to get out of town to a place in the mountains that Meg's family had purchased years prior. Both Meg and Andy had grown up skiiers so it was no surprise that the Wasatch mountains in Utah soon felt like home. As many did, they both transitioned their careers once again and settled full time out west. Meg and Andy live in Park City, Utah with their corgie, Bodie. Special side note: Meg is an Alpreneur board member. I am so honored to have her support.
Alpreneur has 5 hats left. When I launched, I was fearful the message wouldn’t land. It did. If it was just a brand, just a group with no mission, I feel it would land on deaf ears. It’s not. It’s a pledge to be involved. To be intentional. The philanthropic core is a commitment. Wherever you’re traveling to find that freedom the outdoors provide, you have a responsibility to those who call that place home. The residents have a responsibility to the inhabitants (animals) that came before them. Alpreneur's have a responsibility. Thank you all for the support. Photo: Yellowstone
