Couldn't resist making this Alpreneur post a twofer with one of my favorite couples in the whole world!

Originally hailing from Maryland, Meg has fostered an amazing career in the tech space. Prior, she worked in sales and marketing for a large media company. Andy is a northeasterner who initially worked in the public sector then migrated into the private reinsurance space and now works for a global satellite firm.

The couple went to Virginia Tech but did not meet until after college when they were both living in New York City! Following a few years of dating, they transitioned life and careers to our nation's capital, Washington D.C.

When the panny hit, Meg & Andy decided to get out of town to a place in the mountains that Meg's family had purchased years prior. Both Meg and Andy had grown up skiiers so it was no surprise that the Wasatch mountains in Utah soon felt like home.

As many did, they both transitioned their careers once again and settled full time out west.

Meg and Andy live in Park City, Utah with their corgie, Bodie.

Special side note: Meg is an Alpreneur board member. I am so honored to have her support.

Today's Alpreneur probably isn't going to sub his cowboy hat for a ballcap...but his message is clearly aligned with our mission.

I was watching Yellowstone and as a city to mountain transplant (albeit, originally from the mountains), John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner's) line resonated and reminded me of my personal responsibility and why I started Alpreneur:

“We are not your playground. We are not your haven from the pollution and traffic and mismanagement of your home states.

This is our home. If you choose to make Montana your home, you will start treating it like a home, not a vacation rental.”

Alpreneur has 5 hats left. When I launched, I was fearful the message wouldn’t land. It did. If it was just a brand, just a group with no mission, I feel it would land on deaf ears. It’s not. It’s a pledge to be involved. To be intentional.

The philanthropic core is a commitment. Wherever you’re traveling to find that freedom the outdoors provide, you have a responsibility to those who call that place home. The residents have a responsibility to the inhabitants (animals) that came before them. Alpreneur's have a responsibility.

Thank you all for the support.

Ross grew up in Boise, ID where he was able to ski and golf on a regular basis. At an early age Ross recognized how important the outdoors were but didn’t realize what it would mean for his life journey.

He ended up chasing his lifelong dream and became a professional golfer in 2007. Ross spent 4 years traveling the world seeing incredible places and meeting amazing people. To Ross, the outdoors has been the meeting ground to many important people that have molded him both personally and professionally.

Fast forward, Ross lives in Denver now where he is focused on his family and being a leader in the insurance consulting space. He is a firm believer that the most enjoyable moments ahead of him will happen outside on the golf course, near a lake or up in the mountains.

Kelly's real estate career spans nearly three decades even though she looks as if she just had her 30th birthday. You can feel her spirit as you walk past the Sotheby's International office on Main Street in Park City, Utah. She and her family have moved over 23 times so she is no stranger to the stress homebuying can bring.

Although real estate has always been her passion, she and her husband, Bill, have embarked upon numerous other ventures together.

A story that describes Kelly perfectly is my own journey of buying a home in Utah. Kelly went out of her way to send me listings, schedule showings and was the ultimate support for all the confusion that comes during the home buying process.

A few days after completing my transaction, Kelly invited us to another one of her listings where she was hosting an open house. The home was listed for nearly $30 million...just a little north of my budget!

Kelly's mantra is she says no to no one. Her sweet self is willing to help those selling small plots of land all the way to multi million-dollar mega mansions. Check out her listings here!

Sydney is the founder of Alpreneur. She was living in New York City working as an insurance broker in 2020 when she, like many, decided to make a change.

She relocated west where she met others that had done the same. They had transported careers, families and created a whole new way of life.

Whether the moves were full or part time, careers for Alpreneur's didn't slow down, but the freedom and healthy lifestyle the outdoors provide simply made life more enjoyable, and that is why many have chosen to stay.

Come ski season, you can find Sydney on the slopes most days, even if it's just for 30 minutes in between meetings as a business development specialist in the natural catastrophe insurance and reinsurance space. In her other role, she is an advocate for financial literacy and is the author of Barneys, Bergdorfs & Bill$: A Girlfriends Guide to Finance.

Come winter, she loves hosting her friends and family once the snow starts falling. "Everyone seems to be smiling, and for good reason. Nature provides a reminder to take it easy, everything is alright."
